The Kink Carve 16" BMX bike has scaled down geometry of the larger 20" BMX bikes with a 16.5" long top tube and 16" wheels. As younger riders are progressing so fast these days this 16" BMX bike has the geometry and components to help riders learn new tricks faster and advance in BMX. 

What parts are on the Kink Carve 16" BMX?

The Kink Carve BMX bike features a durable High Tensile Steel frame combined with Kink Stryker tapered fork legs and a chromoly steerer tube which are connected with a Mission sealed integrated headset.

This kids BMX bike has many high end components including a tried and trusted Mission Function semi-sealed rear 9 tooth, 14mm cassette hub. The front hub is the Mission Covert loose ball and both hubs are laced onto Mission X7 rims with 28 spokes. These are running on Mission Tracker 2.4" wide tyres with a smooth tread pattern designed for all different types of riding.

The Mission Triumph tubular BMX cranks are made from Chromoly and are 140mm long. These have a 19mm diameter, 8 splined spindle and sealed Mid bottom bracket bearings ensuring your ride is maintenance free. Completing the drive chain is a Mission Rank 25 tooth sprocket and Kink Hemlock pedals.

Up top there's Mission Helix mini flangeless grips on 7" rise Kink T700 High Tensile Steel bars which are clamped to a Mission Top Load stem. The Mission Mini brake lever connects to the Mission Cease V2 rear brake via a Mission L1 Linear cable to give you good stopping power.

Ensuring you have a comfortable ride is the Mission Cypress Mini Combo seat attached to a 25.4mm standard sized BMX seat post.

What age is the Kink Carve 16 inch suitable for?

We would recommend this bike for riders that are between 120cm/3'11" to 138cm/4'6" tall. Based on UK data this would typically be for a child between the ages of 7 and 10 years old. This is only an approximate guide and you may find riders that are slightly shorter or taller can competently ride this bike.

What else should know before buying a Kink 16" BMX?

This 16" BMX bike includes both front and rear brakes. The rear brake, cable and lever are already installed. The rear brake lever is installed on the left side of the handlebars as opposed to how it's shown in the photos. This bike will require some basic assembly prior to riding which will include putting the handlebars in the stem, fitting the front wheel, pedals and seat post. The minimum tools you will require are: 15 & 17mm spanner, 5mm and 6mm Allen keys.
