The 6mm thick investment-cast dropouts and lower leg junctions provide maximum impact resistance and a clean look.

What size BMX bike do i need?

The below is an average recommended size for each height range but remember it is just a guide. We know tall pro riders that ride shorter top tubes than the guide, and we know shorter pro bmx riders who prefer a longer top tube compared to the guide. Size should be chosen based on your height, your skill level, your riding style, and your personal preference. However if you are starting out then the below guide should give you a good idea of the size bike that you'll want to start with.

Complete BMX bike sizing guide.

Recommended top tube lengths for 20" Wheel bikes:

19" top tube - Rider height of 145cm – 155cm / 4 feet 9" - 5 feet 1"

20" top tube - Rider height of 150cm – 160cm / 4 feet 11" - 5 feet 3"

20.25" top tube - Rider height of 155cm – 165cm / 5 feet 1" - 5 feet 5"

20.5" top tube - Rider height of 160cm – 170cm / 5 Feet 3" - 5 feet 7"

20.75" top tube - Rider height of 166cm+ / 5 Feet 5.4" +

21"+ top tube - Rider height of 172cm+ / 5 Feet 7.7" +

Once you know your size, browse our complete BMX bikes or explore BMX frames if you're looking to build up a complete setup.

What size BMX do i need for my child?

When choosing a kids BMX bike it is generally safer to go with a correctly sized or slightly smaller bike as they will have more control over it than a bike that is too big and they are over extended. If your child is a confident rider and is growing fast you may wish to go bigger. This is just a guide and you know your child's ability.

Recommended height for kids BMX bikes - 12" to 18" Wheel bikes:

12" wheel bike - Rider height of 90cm – 115cm / 2 feet 11" - 3 feet 9"

14" wheel bike - Rider height of 110cm – 128cm / 3 feet 7" - 4 feet 2"

16" wheel bike - Rider height of 120cm – 138cm / 3 feet 11" - 4 feet 6"

18" wheel bike - Rider height of 132cm – 150cm / 4 feet 4" - 4 feet 11"

Alongside these overall rider heights we would suggest that the following inside leg measurements are taken into account to ensure they can stand happily over the top tube of the bike.
