Alienation Vandal BMX Rim - Matt Black 36 Hole
The Vandal rim is the widest BMX rim that Alienation make at 37mm wide and is designed for all different types of riding but is often the preferred choice for street riders. This Alienation Vandal BMX rim is manufactured from 6069-T6 aluminium and has a welded join to increase strength. The 6069-T6 aluminium has a 30% higher tensile strength when compared to 6061-T6. The spoke holes on the Vandal BMX rim have been drilled specifically to optimize strength when laced up in a 3 cross pattern; it is not recommended to use this rim for 4 cross or radial lacing. This rim also has a special coating to help improve braking performance. Although still not as good as braking on a chrome plated rim this has improved performance compared with a normal black BMX rim and has a lower negative environmental impact than chrome.
TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is Alienation's system for running tubeless tyres. This rim can be used tubeless when combined with Alienation TCS rim tape, tyre and sealant.
