This Alienation Vandal BMX rim is manufactured from 6069-T6 aluminium and has a welded join to increase strength. The 6069-T6 aluminium has a 30% higher tensile strength when compared to 6061-T6. The spoke holes on the Vandal BMX rim have been drilled specifically to optimize strength when laced up in a 3 cross pattern; it is not recommended to use this rim for 4 cross or radial lacing. This rim also has a special coating to help improve braking performance. Although still not as good as braking on a chrome plated rim this has improved performance compared with a normal black BMX rim and has a lower negative environmental impact than chrome.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTCS (Tubeless Compatible System) is Alienation's system for running tubeless tyres.
